I’m Lavine Ellington (she/her) and, through the years, I’ve helped countless people open up to themselves and heal. If you are struggling with sexual expression, mental health issues, anger, trauma or addiction, I am happy to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for you, filled with kindness and understanding.

I currently offer both face to face and online therapy sessions from Hampshire.

My Approach

My approach is primarily person-centred, helping you unlock your own potential for growth and healing. I also draw upon Gestalt techniques to increase self-awareness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) to address existing thought patterns allowing me to tailor our sessions to your specific needs and requirements at your own pace.

I offer specialist support across a wide range of issues, including; Depression, Anxiety, Parenting Challenges, Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse and Trauma, Childhood Abuse and Trauma, Cultural and Identity Issues, Trauma and Addiction. My expertise extends to neurodiversity, intergenerational trauma and Bereavement.

Whether dealing with a specific challenge or seeking personal growth, I'm here to provide understanding, guidance, and practical tools to support you in your journey.

How I Work

My goal is to provide a flexible, accessible service that fits your life. I offer sessions online, in-person, or via telephone, allowing you to choose the format that feels most comfortable. This flexibility ensures that you can access support regardless of your location or schedule. My focus is always on creating a safe, nurturing environment where you can explore, grow, and heal. We'll work collaboratively to set goals, track progress, and adjust our approach as needed. Your comfort and trust are paramount, and I'm committed to maintaining a respectful, confidential, and supportive therapeutic relationship.

My Location

I offer both online and in-person counselling sessions from West Street Counselling Centre in Fareham, Hampshire. Get directions here. I'm able to serve clients in the greater Hampshire area, including Gosport, Portsmouth, Lee on Solent, Fareham, Southampton, Winchester, Basingstoke, Andover, Alton, and Petersfield.

Thanks to online therapy sessions, I can also work with clients across the entire UK, regardless of location.

Fees & Availability

  • Free initial consultation (15-20 minutes)
  • Therapy sessions are £55 for 50 minutes
  • Online therapy sessions are £45 for 50 minutes
  • This rate applies to online, telephone, and face-to-face therapy. Sessions are typically held weekly, but we can discuss frequency based on your needs.

Payment

Payment is due by bank transfer 48 hours in advance of each session. Once payment is received your session is confirmed. If you have any questions about payment options, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm committed to making the practical aspects of our sessions as smooth as possible.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that life can be unpredictable, but I kindly ask for 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, or if you miss a scheduled session without notification, you may be charged the full session fee.
